Our Story
Every company has a beginning. Ours started long before the name JEKE Hardware was established.
Our manufacturing heritage can be traced back to a family-owned hardware business founded in New Zealand during the 1930s. For decades, high-quality door and window hardware was designed and manufactured locally, supplying customers throughout New Zealand.
As global manufacturing evolved, rising production costs made local manufacturing increasingly difficult. To preserve the craftsmanship, product quality and technical expertise developed over generations, production was gradually transferred to China in the late 2000s.
The transition began from the ground up. Original tooling, production equipment and manufacturing know-how were relocated from New Zealand, while experienced technicians worked alongside a newly established local team. Over the following years, production capabilities expanded steadily through continuous investment in equipment, skilled employees and a reliable network of specialised manufacturing partners.
By 2012, the factory was operating independently as a fully established manufacturing business. While New Zealand remained an important market, JEKE also began supplying customers across Australia, the United Kingdom, Africa and other international markets.
Today, JEKE is an independent manufacturer based in China, combining decades of manufacturing experience with an efficient supply chain and modern production capabilities. We continue to focus on delivering reliable architectural hardware and customised metal solutions to customers worldwide.
